Who we are

Moxxify is operated by Year of Memories LLC (“Moxxify,” “we,” “us”), 11787 Welters Way, Eden Prairie, MN 55347, United States. For any privacy question or request, contact us at privacy@moxxify.com.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to:

• ×the parent or guardian who creates a Moxxify household account;
• ×other adults a parent invites into a household (a co-parent, a grandparent, a neighbor);
• ×children whose profiles a parent creates and manages inside a household.

No child signs up for Moxxify on their own, at any age. Younger children have no login at all — they use a parent’s device. An older child may be given their own sign-in, but only when an adult in their household issues them an invite code, and that child remains part of the household under the adult’s control.

Information we collect

From the account holder

• ×Your name and email address, and a password — the password is handled by our authentication provider and is not visible to us.
• ×A household name you choose, and the kid-facing labels you set (for example “Dad” or “Grandma Jo”).
• ×Optional payment usernames (Venmo, Cash App, PayPal) you save so the app can build a prefilled payment link. These are usernames, not account or card numbers.
• ×The email address of anyone you invite into your household, so we can send them the invitation. We store it whether or not they accept, and they can tell us the address was wrong.

About a child

• ×A first name or display name, and the child’s birth month and year. We deliberately do not collect a full date of birth.
• ×The activity recorded in the app: the services on their menu, jobs they mark done, invoices they send, goals they save toward, matched-savings deposits, and any notes or messages they write — for example in a price negotiation, or when answering a question you send back with an invoice.
• ×For an older child, if you enable it: their own payment username (Venmo, Cash App or PayPal), so a payment link can be addressed to them rather than to you.
• ×If you enable photo proof: a photo the child takes of completed work. It is shown to you for approval and then deleted on our retention schedule — immediately after the related invoice is paid on the Free plan, or 30 days after payment on a paid plan. We keep a record that a photo was submitted and approved; we do not keep the image.

A parent provides and controls all of this. We collect from a child only what is needed to operate the child’s side of the app.

Device PIN

A short PIN used to return a shared device from a child’s view to the parent console is stored on our server and is not displayed anywhere in the app.

Payments and billing

Moxxify keeps a ledger — who did what, what is owed, what is saved. It does not process, hold, or move money. When you approve an invoice, your own Venmo, Cash App or PayPal opens with the amount and note prefilled, and you send the payment from your account. We do not collect or store bank account, routing, or card numbers. If you subscribe to a paid plan, billing is handled by Stripe; your card details go to Stripe under their privacy policy, not to us.

Technical and usage information

• ×Privacy-preserving analytics: page-level, cookieless, with no tracking of individual children.
• ×Standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps — kept for security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.

How we use information

• ×To provide and operate Moxxify and keep your household’s data separated from every other household’s.
• ×To sign you in and keep your session secure.
• ×To send necessary email — invitations you initiate, payment receipts, and reminders about a trial ending.
• ×To respond to support requests.
• ×To protect against fraud, abuse, and security threats.
• ×To understand, in aggregate, how the product is used so we can improve it.
• ×To comply with legal obligations.

Advertising

Moxxify does not currently show ads. If we ever introduce advertising — for example, on a free tier — we will update this policy first, ads will not appear in a child’s view, and they will not involve selling personal information or building advertising profiles of your family.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

When we share information

• ×Service providers that run Moxxify under contract and only as needed: hosting and database (Supabase, Vercel), transactional email (Resend), subscription billing (Stripe), and cookieless analytics (Vercel).
• ×People you invite. An adult you invite sees what the access level you chose allows — either your whole family, or only the child or children they pay for.
• ×Other households, if you turn on the cousin leaderboard. This is off by default and set by a parent for one child at a time. When it is on, that child’s first name and a count of jobs they completed become visible to other opted-in children in households you are linked to by a shared adult. It carries effort only — never amounts, goals, or invoices — and a child appears only if their own parent opted them in. You can switch it off at any time.
• ×Legal requests when we are required to respond, and to protect the rights and safety of users or the public.
• ×A business transfer — if Moxxify is acquired or reorganized, information may transfer as part of that deal, with notice to you.

Children’s privacy

Moxxify is a family tool used under a parent’s or guardian’s direction. An adult creates the account, provides any information about a child, and controls that child’s profile. No child registers independently — a child is added to a household by an adult, who thereby provides consent for the information in that child’s profile. If an adult later issues a child their own sign-in, the child is still part of the household and the adult still controls the profile.

A parent or guardian can, at any time:

• ×review the information in their child’s profile and activity;
• ×correct it or update it in the app;
• ×request a copy of it; and
• ×have the child’s profile and personal details removed. Because the earnings ledger is append-only — corrections are made by adding entries, never by editing old ones — the historical job and payment records remain, with the child’s name and details stripped out of them.

Nothing about a child is shared outside your household unless you switch it on. The one feature that does so is the cousin leaderboard described above: it is off by default, you turn it on for one child at a time, and it carries a first name and a count of completed jobs — never money.

We do not condition a child’s participation on providing more information than is needed for the activity, and we do not knowingly allow a child to make their information public. To ask a question about a child’s information or exercise any of the rights above, contact privacy@moxxify.com.

Your choices and rights

• ×See and update most information directly in the app.
• ×Ask us for a copy of your household’s data, for information to be removed, or to close your account, by emailing privacy@moxxify.com. There is no self-serve export button today — we put the copy together for you and send it.
• ×Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — to access, delete, correct, or port your information, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do neither). We will not deny you service or charge you more for exercising these rights.

Data retention

We keep account and ledger information while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward, then delete or anonymize it. Photos are deleted on the schedule described above. Routine backups cycle out over time. We keep records longer only where the law requires it.

Security

Information is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Database-level access controls (row-level security) isolate each family’s data from every other family’s; passwords are stored only as salted hashes by our authentication provider; and internal access is limited to what is needed to run and support the service. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Where your information is processed

Moxxify is operated from, and processes information in, the United States.

Changes to this policy

We will post any changes on this page and update the date above. If a change is significant, we will provide a more prominent notice.
